[ONLINE] The Art of Post Revolution Mexico: From the Muralists to Frida Online
Presented by ArtScapades, this lecture concentrates on artists who were working after the 1910 Mexican Revolution.
It was a period when artists set aside the constraints of colonialism and dictatorship, and began to tell the story of the Mexican people. The life and works of two of the most well-known Mexican Muralists, José Clemente Orozco and Diego Rivera will be discussed, as well as that of the infamous Frida Kahlo.
This program is presented online in cooperation with the Yonkers, Harrison, and Mamaroneck Public Libraries. An in-person viewing will be held at the Will Library of the Yonkers Public Library.
