[IN-PERSON] Opera and Art Appreciation In-Person
In this one-and-a-half-hour session, we’ll explore the works of Puccini and other notable composers such as Tosti and Debussy. The goal is to deepen our understanding and appreciation of beloved opera arias and art songs.
During the class, participants will learn about the historical context of the composers and their music. We’ll also explore interesting facts and insights about the musical structure and the emotional impact it has on our psychology and humanity.
In addition to the discussion, presenter Matthew Marano will be performing several of the pieces we cover, including both opera selections and piano ballads.
