[IN-PERSON] Pride Month Movie Mondays: Fried Green Tomatoes In-Person

Join us for a month-long celebration of LGBTIAQ+* culture on the silver screen with a showing of the 1991 comedy-drama Fried Green Tomatoes, starring Kathy Bates as housewife Evelyn Couch, who learns from the aging Ninny Threadgoode (played by Jessica Tandy) about the lives and relationship of Ninny's sister-in-law Idgie and her companion Ruth, portrayed by Mary Stuart Masterson and Mary-Louise Parker. Based on the book Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe, the film won a 1992 award from GLAAD for 'best feature film with lesbian content', as well as nominations for multiple Academy Awards, BAFTA awards, and Golden Globe Awards.
