[IN-PERSON] Adult Chess In-Person
Join us for an evening of fun playing chess.
This class is perfect for beginners who want to learn the game, how the pieces move, basic opening strategies, along with the ultimate goal… Learning how to checkmate your opponent. For those who know how to play and prefer to sit across from a person rather than a bot on an app, this is a perfect way to socialize while enjoying the company of those who also appreciate this game of tactics and strategy. Come by yourself or with a friend. Learn some new moves or shake off some rust. If nothing else, it’s good exercise for your gray matter upstairs :-)
Larry Spitzer, a Rivertowns resident himself, has led adult chess classes in the community and taught it privately for years.
While not even close to being a grand master, he is an experienced educator of this game of Kings and Queens.
